Privacy Policy for Instutia
Instutia provides an iOS app, marketing website, and related services for short-form creators, including South Asian language workflows. This preview policy explains the intended categories of information collection and processing based on the current product scope.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Instutia mobile app, the Instutia marketing site, support communications, and user-directed third-party integrations.
2. Information we may collect
- Account and profile information such as name, email, language preferences, and creator profile details.
- Content and inputs you provide, including videos, audio, images, scripts, prompts, captions, transcripts, and support messages.
- Device, app, and usage information such as device type, operating system, app version, browser type, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, feature usage, diagnostics, and log data.
- Subscription and transaction state such as entitlements, purchase history, receipt identifiers, and billing-state signals where applicable.
- Connected-account data from services such as Instagram or YouTube when you choose to connect them.
- Notifications, streaks, and activity records used to support reminders and progress features.
3. Permissions and device access
Depending on the features you use, Instutia may request access to camera, microphone, photos/media/files, and notifications. Some features may not work correctly if you deny required permissions.
4. How information may be used
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
- Create and manage accounts.
- Process, edit, transcribe, caption, enhance, or export creator content.
- Generate scripts, suggestions, drafts, captions, and other AI-assisted outputs.
- Provide creator research, viral-outlier intelligence, and workflow recommendations.
- Authenticate users, secure accounts, process subscriptions, send operational communications, and enforce Terms.
5. Third-party service providers
Current intended provider categories include AssemblyAI for speech-related processing, Anthropic for AI-assisted features, Meta/Instagram integrations, Google/YouTube integrations, RevenueCat for subscription infrastructure, and other hosting, storage, logging, security, notification, and customer-support providers needed to operate the Services.
Vendor-specific retention, training, hosting, and subprocessor claims remain pending founder/legal confirmation before production publication.
6. YouTube and Google API disclosure
If you connect a YouTube or Google account, any use of received data should be limited to the user-facing features you request inside Instutia. Users can revoke Google access from their Google account security settings. Google’s Privacy Policy also applies to Google’s own handling of information.
7. How information may be shared
Information may be shared with service providers operating the Services, third-party platforms you choose to connect, infrastructure and support providers, legal authorities when required, or in connection with a business transaction or your direction/consent.
8. Data retention
Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, keep security and business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Fixed retention windows are still pending operational confirmation.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on location and product setup, users may be able to request access, correction, deletion, export, or processing limitations for certain personal information. Instutia’s final account deletion flow and data request path are still pending founder confirmation before production use.
10. Security
Instutia intends to use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, but no method of transmission, storage, or security control can be guaranteed completely secure.
11. International transfers
Information may be processed in countries other than where a user lives. Region-specific data location or transfer representations are still pending legal and technical confirmation.
12. Children and age eligibility
The service is not intended for children below the minimum age that will be confirmed by founder/legal review before production publication.
13. Third-party services and app stores
Use of Apple, Meta, Google, YouTube, RevenueCat-enabled billing flows, and other third-party services may be subject to those providers’ own terms and privacy practices.
14. Changes to this policy
Instutia may update this policy from time to time by updating the effective date and posting a revised version.
